Online shopping is great for those of us who prefer to avoid the hassle of busy stores and long check-out lines. However, that convenience can turn against us when we realize we need to return something we bought. Printing off a label? Boxing everything back up again? Ugh, no thanks. Luckily, if you happened to buy those items from Amazon, there is an incredibly easy — and free! — way to send them back.
You don’t need to search your house for the box it came in, struggle with packing tape, or make sure your printer has enough ink to spit out a label. Instead, you just need to pull up the Amazon Return Center website and select the items you want to return from your past orders. The company will then email you a QR code (those blocky black and white squares) you can use at a UPS Store to simply drop your things off — again, without a box or label — and they’ll take care of the rest!
How easy is that? You may already be a fan of this breezy return process, but we figured it’s worth reminding everyone, especially around the holidays when we’re getting even more packages delivered. Although we do believe it is the thought that counts when giving presents, sometimes you get the wrong size shirt or it’s just not quite right — and that’s okay.
It’s not just UPS Stores that accept the returns, either. You can check with your local Kohl’s, Whole Foods, or if you have physical Amazon Books or other Amazon-based stores in your area.
