Smashburger is gearing up for the holidays by offering customers the chance to buy burgers every day from November 15 through January 9 for just $1. The chain is calling the promotion its “Holiday Smash Pass.” The pass itself is $54, but if you think about it, that’s almost $300 in savings. (And if you don’t want to think about it, no worries: We explain the math below.)
Inspired by Olive Garden’s Unlimited Pasta Pass, which includes unlimited pasta, salad, and breadsticks at any Olive Garden location for a one-time fee of $100, Smashburger decided to come up with its own burger pass. Unlike Olive Garden’s pass, however, Smashburger’s Holiday Smash Pass won’t sell out.
“We want to make your holidays even brighter with this new innovative way to access Smashburger,” Tom Ryan, Founder and CEO of Smashburger said in a press release. “The Holiday Smash Pass™ gives fans a chance to explore our menu, try the new Triple-Double or any other delicious entrée off of our Smashburger menu for only $1.”
Where can I buy Smashburger’s Holiday Smash Pass?
All you have to do is visit the brand’s website, sign up for Smashburger’s SmashClub rewards program, and then pay the one-time $54 fee. And, viola! Burgers for days. Guests must be at least 18 years old to purchase the Holiday Smash Pass.
What entrees are included with a Holiday Smash Pass?
All of Smashburger’s signature beef burgers, turkey burgers, black bean burgers, chicken sandwiches, and salads are included in the Holiday Smash Pass deal. While Create Your Own sandwiches are also included, premium add-ons will be charged at regular price.
So, what’s not included? Add-ons, side dishes, and beverages are not included in the Holiday Smash Pass. Please note, the pass is not compatible with online orders.
How much money will the Holiday Smash Pass save me?
According to Nation’s Restaurant News, one Smashburger costs around $6.50 – meaning 54 burgers would cost $361.80. With the pass, you’d only be paying $108 (that’s $54 for the pass and then $1 for each burger), saving $253.80.
So, what’s the deal? How many burgers do you need to eat for this pass to be worth it?
Apparently, you’d have to eat at least 10 burgers. Without the Holiday Smash Pass, 10 Smashburgers would cost you $67; with the pass, it’s only $64. And the savings just go up from there.
Bottom line? If you’re a true burger-lover, you can’t go wrong with this pass.
