After oohing and ahhing over the new royal baby (we happen to love the name Archie, by the way), our thoughts immediately turned to what Meghan Markle was wearing. Her white trench dress was super flattering and would be perfect for summer. But since we don’t have the budget of a duchess, we found one that is almost identical and a fraction of the cost.
British menswear designer Grace Wales Bonner dreamed up Meghan’s ivory frock, and it’s unclear whether the dress was a custom design or will be available off the rack. Either way, it’s likely out of our price range, but we just happened upon One Clothing’s Belted Button Front Dress ($55, Nordstrom), a total budget-friendly dupe. Though it’s not double-breasted, it has a similar v-neck and buttons down the front, and also ties at the waist. It’s made of 100 percent cotton so it has a more casual vibe than Meghan’s high-fashion version, but it’s still a gorgeous option for wearing to work or out to a nice dinner with the hubby.
The Only Clothing dress is still available in sizes XS to L, but since whatever the duchess wears seems to sell out immediately, you may want to drop whatever you’re doing and whip out your credit card. We definitely can see ourselves wearing this Meghan Markle dress-of-the-moment lookalike all summer long!
